Giant Print Bible
GiantBiblesetup.exe ....and when we say GIANT print we mean HUGE! The Giant Print Bible features the entire text of the 1769 Edition of the 1611 King James Bible. It is completely linked, so that each of the 66 Books of the bible are accessed by a single mouse click. Each of the bible's 1189 Chapters are accessed in the same way. But....each and every verse, all 31,103 of them are linked. That means you can select every book and every chapter and each and every verse in the bible with simple mouse clicks and view the verses one at a time in the huge display screen. You can also scroll (hint: use your mouse wheel) and view the entire chapter the verse is located in, one verse at a time.
The actual size of the displayed text of the verses depends on the size of the screen you are viewing them on. However, using a normal 19 inch monitor (or laptop) the verses can be easily read from across the room...over 20 feet away. This is ideal for small group bible studies. (It is also ideal for those of us who like our print a little larger than the younguns do)
The Giant Print Bible also has the same "Search" feature built-in as the Grace Study Bible listed below. Simply type in any word or phrase or book and chapter listing and find it instantly. It is displayed in the same large size text on the screen.
The "setup" file installs the Giant Print Bible to your regular Program Files folder in your computer. It also creates a Desktop Icon. The "setup" file is small, only 1.57mb. The Grace Study Bible originated as a project for grace believers participating in a live audio bible study on the internet. It was complied by Jim Brackin and distributed free of charge here at www.trustingthelord.com.
This is the latest in a series of efforts which began several years ago to enable serious bible believers to have a convenient place to store all their bible study notes and references. Previous versions of the program came with numerous screens and views with all sorts of actions and activities.
This updated version is based on the premise that "less is more." Anyone familier with an internet browser and knows how to right click on a web page to "view source" will be able to effectively make use of this program in a snap. Everything is confined to one view with only the needed and useful "bells and whistles" accessable through the menu bar at the top of the screen.
This is obviously an ongoing project which hopefully with the combineed efforts of all those interested will someday result in a completely annotated, indexed and cross referenced study bible for serious people. In the meanwhile you are sure to benefit from it's use in bible study and in keeping your study notes in one easy to find place - with the verse the note pertains to!
